  Injection Moulding

Dassett Process Engineering Ltd. offers a wide variety of injection moulding machines suited to every customers needs. Known as the DM range of machines, they span from 40 ton right up to 170 ton machines.

bullet The design of the DM range of horizontal injection moulding machines brings a new dimension to the market place.
bullet The fully hydraulics lock machines with single cylinder locking apply the locking force centrally to platens and gives the tonnage the correct position. This combined with all steel platens ensure that tool deflection is reduced to an absolute minimum.
bullet The injection unit features ten stages of fill speed and five stages of pack and hold to ensure maximum control of the injection operation.

Control

bullet

The machines are controlled be a central microprocessor and all communication is by means of the screen and keypad.

bullet

All values are set on the screen as there are no manual switches
or valves to operate except the hand mode switches.

bullet

The screens are user friendly and easy to access to enable the
operator to achieve maximum productivity from the equipment. Click here to see a larger version of the control panel

bullet

The machine can store tool settings within the processor and this
can be accessed at a later date or reinstalled into the machine
parameters.

bullet

Closed loop process control is a standard feature and this enables very high repeatability of the moulding parameters and a very constant product to be achieved on the machine.

bullet

All error messages are in clear text and easily identifiable.

Hydraulics

bullet

Every effort has been made to supply the most balanced hydraulic system to give greater flexibility with lower power consumption using the very latest in proportional valve control technology.

bullet

The hydraulic pump is a Vickers Intravane pump driving via a proportional pressure/flow block fixed direct to the pump. This reduces pipework, noise levels and reduces the amount of oil in the system.
