60 Ton Vertical / Horizontal Osciblend Moulding Machine

60 Ton Vertical Osciblend Moulding Machine 60 Ton Horizontal Osciblend Moulding Machine

A joint venture between Dassett, Betol Machinery and Brunel University
over a number of years has now culminated in the development of a
versatile, commercial machine known as "Osciblend".  The compounding
and injection mould
ing operations are united in a single machine thereby
removing the need for multi-stage processing.

Features:

bullet The machine is built with a Borofused Twin Screw extruder and injection screw and barrel for wear resistance to abrasive materials as standard.
bullet The machine is offered in the horizontal configuration or in the vertical clamp split line injection
configuration, depending on the requirement. A two position shuttle table is also available with the vertical machine as an added extra.
bullet

Controls are by Allen Bradly P.L.C. and Panel View 900 screen. All setting and control are by
means of the screen.

bullet The machine has a standard tool storage system for up to twenty-four tools.

Advantages of Osciblend Moulding:

bullet Reduced heat and shear history of materials - important during the processing of thermally
sensitive polymers, adhesives, fillers or fibres.
bullet Intense and controlled mixing necessary for dispersion of ceramic and metal powders possessing high inter-particle attractive forces.
bullet The ability to convey and mould highly filled ceramic or powder metal / polymer compositions.
bullet Effective transport of low viscosity melts such as wax formulations.
Well defined functional steps including feeding, melt homogenization, devolatilisation and melt
delivery stages.

This machine is now offered by Dassett Process Engineering Ltd as a commercially available product.
